Grow crops on film

Yes you heard right!! the japanese have come out with new technology that grows all kinds of vegetables  and possibly trees as well in the future  on film. So pretty much no soil is needed as the plants get their nutrients supplied from the film.

This method has been tried by the Japanese in the middle east desert  with success and they say the chances of the plans or vegetables catching disease is also low due  to no soil. Here si a video showing the japanese growing plants on film

Who needs soil when you can grow crops on film? Japan's Mebiol is growing a Garden of Eden of sorts on its thin hydro-membranes, which are only microns thick.

The greens can grow considerably if liquid nutrients are given to them from above and below, through the film
